The beginning of this game is set in a rural area with farm houses and wooden fences. In the distance, there’s a city filled with tall, modern buildings. There’s roads, cars, and pedestrians. If you get hurt while exploring, the game will restart at the local hospital. There’s a garage to fix the car. The time of day changes as you play; the color of the sky changes.

The environment is destructible. Fences, light poles, traffic lights, and pedestrians can be run over. The car gets damaged and explodes. You can fight other people with weapons. There are ramps for launching cars, and you can drive off-road.

The radio in the car works. You can change the station. The camera perspective is customizable as well. There’s a map displaying the car’s location and other points of interest

Controls:

• Press lower-left side of screen to activate joystick; use it to move around
• Drag right side of screen to look around
• Tap the bullet button to punch, kick, or shoot a gun
• Tap the leaping man button to jump

This is a crazy, open-world game. The game takes place in a city with traffic, pedestrians, parks, payphones, bridges, trees, and light poles. The cars are destructible. Several weapons are available including guns, rockets, and flamethrowers.   There are several modes, including a multiplayer mode. The story mode has several missions. There are a few levels that are very good and fun to play.

What’s good about this game? It can play music stored on the smartphone during games. Explosions are designed well. In certain locations, cars and trucks drive realistically into you; it’s shocking.

There’s cool car chases and gunfights through the city. It’s an open world environment. Walk on streets, and explore the city and surrounding regions. Buy weapons and cars, or carjack other vehicles. The radio in the vehicles play music and talkshows. The radio stations can be changed. The gun works while driving – tap the shoot button.

The environment is destructible – crash into light poles, traffic lights, signs, and fences. There are missions; complete each one to progress through the game. There’s also challenges, which unlock zones. There’s a map of the city with points of interest and GPS navigation.

This is a zombie survival game. The goal is to stay alive until the level ends. Kill the zombies with rifles and grenades. There are lots of levels with different gameplay.

In one level, the player is situated on top of a parked humvee at an intersection in the city. The player is armed with a rifle, and the perspective is first-person view. Zombies approach the humvee from two directions. Aim and fire to kill the zombies. Pan the left side of the screen to look in each direction. Press the icons to perform an action.

Another level features a speeding humvee. There’s an accelerator button that increases the speed of the humvee. If zombies jump on the humvee, crash it into other vehicles or shoot them with the gun by tapping the screen. This level utilizes the accelerometer for tilt motion control. Tilt the phone side to side to steer.

What’s good about this game? There are different types of zombie scenarios, which keeps the game interesting.
What’s wrong with this game? Reloading isn’t designed well. It’s too slow.

Zombie Hunter Apocalypse (Google Play Store)

This zombie game takes place on rooftops. Scan the town for zombies and kill them before they harm innocent people. Shoot the zombies with a sniper rifle or an assault rifle. Radar is available in some levels; it highlights zombies, civilians, and cash.

The kill sequences are impressive, especially for the assault rifle. It displays multiple bullets traveling and hitting the zombie.

What’s good about this game? The mood is set perfectly with loud speakers announcing warnings through the zombie-infested town. Also, there are well-designed scenarios that involve zombies chasing humans.
What’s wrong with this game? The player has to wait for weapon trials. This mode is unlocked after a certain amount of missions are completed.

Dead Warfare Zombie (Google Play Store)

In this zombie game, the player is lead from one area to another. As waves of zombies approach, shoot them. There’s a shoot button, a grenade button, a zoom-in button, and a reload button. Pan the left side of the screen to look around and aim.

There’s a team management area where you can select characters and equip them with weapons. There are several levels in each chapter. Each level is designed well.

What’s good about this game? In a battle, it is possible to switch characters to gain an advantage.
What’s wrong with this game? There’s an overbearing narrator that announces kills as the player repels zombies.

There are lots of missions. Use a baseball bat and a car to complete the missions. Go to the waypoint, which is displayed on the map and in the game environment.

This game takes place in a prison. The goal is to sneak around without getting caught by guards. There’s surveillance cameras and locked doors. The missions must be completed before the timer expires.

The locks are well-designed, but get tiresome. Instead of picking it, buy the key. It’s also recommended to change the perspective of the camera so that the character matches the map and waypoint. Otherwise it is confusing to play. To do this, swipe the screen several times, or drag your finger across the length of the screen once.

Press the punch button to punch repeatedly. Press the run button to run. Tap the run button once to roll.

What’s good about this game? The mood of this game is perfect. It can be played repeatedly.
What’s wrong with this game? The map doesn’t correlate with the direction of the player and the camera.

This is a sniping game. Each mission contains a new scenario. There are enemies in a city. The goal is to kill them before they spot you. Mark the enemies with a spotter to make them stand out. This makes it easier to hit the target.

There are informative cards that describe the mission. A very brief introduction sets the mood nicely. Drag the screen side to side to aim at the soldier. Slide the zoom scale up to zoom-in. Up to 4x magnification or more is available. The kill shot sequence becomes repetitive with each mission.

What’s good about this game? This game takes a stylish approach to sniping in a warzone.
What’s wrong with this game? The enemies will shout wildly if you wait too long.

West Mafia Redemption – Gold Hunter FPS Shooter (Google Play Store)

In this game, the goal is to avoid obstacles while running through the subway. There’s a cop trying to catch you. Along the way, collect coins. The characters, items, and environment are cartoonish. It’s the perfect arcade game for smartphones.

To avoid obstacles, swipe the touchscreen left or right to move in that direction. Swipe up to jump. There are upgrades that enhance the character’s abilities. This includes flying through the air and smashing through obstacles.

What’s good about this game? The upgrades are cool and impressive.
What’s wrong with this game? The cop blocks the view of the surfer.

Spartan Runner (Google Play Store)

This is a side-scrolling game filled with enemies and obstacles. Avoid falling into gaps while destroying robots. You are armed with a rifle, but there are other weapons available in each level. This game has good music, but the footsteps of the character are too loud. Adjust the sound effects in the settings menu to optimize the gaming experience.

To play the game, tap the up arrow to jump on top of enemies and over gaps. Tap or hold the gun arrow to fire the weapon. Some weapons are automatic and fire rapidly. The goal is to run as far as you can before dying.

What’s good about this game? There are weapons and energy throughout the level.
What’s wrong with this game? After each run, there’s an annoying remark by the AI.

Galaxy Attack Alien Shooter (Google Play Store)

This game takes place in space. It is vertically oriented. The goal is to destroy all the spaceships on the screen. The enemy fires missiles and moves side to side. Collect any items that are floating through space after the spaceships explode. There could be new, powerful weapons. There are three rounds in the campaign mode. There’s a multiplayer mode as well.

The best way to play this game is by destroying one side of the enemy fleet. Stay on that side to avoid getting shot. Drag the spaceship left/right, up/down, and in circles from any spot on the screen (drag control setting).

What’s good about this game? It has vivid colors and well-designed spaceships.
What’s wrong with this game? It requires the player to defeat several levels before being allowed to access the higher modes.

This game features the legendary Arab thief Aladdin. The goal is to make it through a level filled with royal guards, pitfalls, fire obstacles, and water traps. There’s floating platforms that travel up and down; time your jump carefully. Use apples as weapons; throw them at guards. Along the way, collect as many coins as possible.

To play the game, press the right and left arrows to move right or left. Tap the up arrow to jump. While jumping against a wall, tap the up arrow again to double jump. This will allow you to jump to higher platforms.

What’s good about this game? It has elevated platforms filled with coins and royal guards.
What’s wrong with this game? Some of the platforms are too narrow, making it impossible to accurately time a jump over a guard.

In this game, you play a firecracker that doesn’t want its fuse to run out. It decides to run for its life. If you don’t make it to the water in time, the firecracker will explode. The levels become more and more challenging. Look out for barricades, rolling boulders, torpedoes, and launching platforms.

To play the game, press the right and left arrows. This will move the firecracker right and left. Tap the red action button to destroy barriers and erect them again. Use a smart strategy to complete the level.

What’s good about this game? The color temperature is comfortable, and it has a simple layout.

This is a platform game that takes place in an enchanted forest. There are spiked beetles roaming the grounds, hopping toadstools, and stinging hornets flying about. There are floating platforms that move up and down and bottomless pits. The goal is to make it to the end of the level.

Use weapons to defeat the wildlife. Tap the attack button (encircled stick) to throw rocks at beetles. This button can be used to throw bombs and boomerangs as well. To cycle weapons, tap the weapon selection button (square-shaped with weapon icon). If you don’t have any weapons, you can still use the attack button to strike the enemies. Press the left and right triangles to move left and right. Tap the up triangle to jump.

What’s good about this game? You can throw weapons and strike enemies instead of jumping over them.
What’s wrong with this game? The ground level doesn’t immediately appear after jumping down from a higher platform.

This is a FPS for smartphones. It’s very good. It received a perfect score. The design is clean and sharp. To play it, use the touchscreen to move and look. There are several online modes including Deathmatch, Defuse, and Gun Game. There are lots of weapons including pistols, assault rifles, sniper rifles, shotguns, and knives. You can crouch around corners and zoom-in on targets. The best way to play is to move quickly and fire rapidly using an assault rifle. You can also find a hiding spot and wait for enemies to run in front of your path. There are several game modes including Team Deathmatch, Diffuse, and Arms Race.
