TriPeaks Solitaire Challenge from Xi-Art is fun, colorful digital solitaire game that you can play on both Android and iOS devices.
When you first start the game, it will provide you a nicely done tutorial to show you the basics. The game will also need you to log into Facebook (within the app) so you can play and compete against others players around the world.
If you think solitaire is a boring game, well you are wrong. There is a ton to do in the game and this version of tripeak solitaire will keep you going. For those unfamiliar with tripeak solitaire: you have 3 peaks of cards and you need to clear each peak but removing the cards starting from the bottom row. You clear cards but forming runs, A-2-3-4, etc any color and any suit on the discard pile.
The game has three main areas to play:
- World Challenge – you play and try to get the best score possible within five rounds
- Classic Challenge – you play and try to get the best score possible within three rounds
- Facebook Challenge – you can challenge any of your Facebook friends
How does the scoring work? Well the bottom line is that you want to clear all the peaks as fast as you can. You will get more points also by getting longer runs. The game will keep track of your score and will update you on the leader board.
As you complete rounds in the Classic and World Challenge, you will earn points to level up. As you level up, you will unlock different power-ups you can use to get better scores. It should be noted that there are minimum scores you need to get to complete a round. Also there are different card layouts in the Classic and World Challenges.
In addition to the various game challenges, you can check out your win history for the tournaments that you played in, view your overall achievements, change the card style, and open different chests (containing gold and silver).
This is a free game but does NOT contain any ads. Next to your level, there is a small shopping cart icon. There you can go to the shop and purchase gold and silver coin packs and/or become a VIP for 5 or 7 days. As you play, you will use your hearts. When they are out, you will need to get more.
The game plays well on both phones and tablets but I enjoy it more on the larger screen. The developer has done a nice job putting together a fun and entertaining game – you are competing against yourself but also everyone in the current tournament.
The games and sound effects are fine and I did not experience any issues while playing. If you enjoy card game and competing against others from around the world, then you need to try TriPeaks Solitaire Challenge from Xi-Art.
