The Religion section gives you the option of choosing between a variety of the belief values of your empire ranging from having the mentality of a money mogul to becoming a defender of the down-trotten. Your religious choice will determine the bonus points you may receive in tax income, defense, offense, food output, birth rate and research.

The World tab contains game settings and conditions and the Computer tab will allow you to make adjustments to the number of opposing empires as well as the difficulty level, ranging from normal to impossible. Once you have set the game options, you will be all squared away to fight and to ultimately dominate your competition. In the general options menu, you can switch on or off certain features such as the autosave, HQ icons, saving your progress to an external memory source and map grad visibility.

Although Rising Empires has a simple 2D graphical interface, the user interface background and font attributes in the main menu make the text difficult to read. This game is still very challenging to play and may take a while to master if you are not a hardcore RPG gamer. Before you enter into a game, the app will tell you right off the bat via dialog box that this is a complex game and a number of tutorials are available on the game’s blog website. Even thought this game does not give you a step-by-step walkthrough upon your first time playing, the developers have done  a great job of creating extensive tutorials for Rising Empires thus not leaving the potential new fan of the game completely in the dark.

The free version of Rising Empires is free to download for Android in the Google Play and Amazon Apps stores and the Premium version is also available to purchase.
