This mobile version of You Don’t Know Jack is essentially a streamlined edition of the 2011 console game of the same name.

This version pits you against five other Internet players in a series of five question rounds, including the manic Jack Attack end game. Correct answers win you cash, incorrect answers will subtract from your cash total and the faster you answer questions, the more cash you could win…or lose. Use in-game helps to boost your score and increase you chances of winning such as bronze, silver, gold and platinum performance boosts, which increases your game score by up to 50%, and eliminate one wrong answer from a multiple choice question with the Peckers help. Both helps will cost you coins, but they could work to your advantage.

This game also features in-game achievements, obscure, faux sponsors and television/radio commercials, theme games and the ability to sync your Facebook account to the game. The latter capability enables you to invite your Facebook friends to play, share and brag your results, achievements, and high scores on your Facebook wall so you can be the envy of your virtual neighborhood of peers. The biggest update made since the mobile game’s release is that every game is now free to play. Originally, players were limited to one free game a day and additional games cost 200 coins each.

This version is an excellent addition to the franchise of You Don’t Know Jack games. As I have stated earlier in this review, this game maintains same great engaging and genuinely entertaining gameplay loaded with the same amount of stereotypical and obnoxious game show “dings” and buzzer sound effects. As with every trivia game, you will need to know a little bit of everything to succeed in this game that is chock full of weirdly-phrased questions shrouded by recent pop culture references. Besides the free play, another great aspect to the game is being able to play against celebrity players. Some of the celebrity contenders include Adrienne Curry, Doug Benson, Andy Kindler and Bob Odenkirk from AMC’s Breaking Bad.  Although the celebrity’s answers and witty banter with host Cookie Masterson are prerecorded, it doesn’t take away from how fun it is to play each special game. This game is guaranteed to mentally engaged through its thought-provoking questions and side-splitting commentary.

You Don’t Know Jack is free to download in the Google Play and iTunes app stores and is only 68 MB large in size. You can purchase the ad-free version of the game within the app for only $2.99. If you don’t think this game will be a great addition to your app collection, then YOU DON’T KNOW JACK.
