Trivia lovers will fall in love with The Million Second Quiz app quickly with its quick-fire gameplay and excellent assortment of subjects and difficulty levels. If you’re a good trivia player, each bout will have you on your toes. Under the current point structure, just about every game you play will be decided by the tenth and final question. The app will definitely be more useful and exciting to play during show time throughout the 10-day event, similar to the U.K.’s The Million Pound Drop live programming and its online and mobile game counterparts.

NBC has been known for creating live play-along online games for its shows, as we have seen with Take It All and, most recently, The Winner Is. To my knowledge, this is the first time NBC has created an app that allows its users to apply for the show through consistent game play. This is an app that doesn’t need to rely on flashy graphics to keep the app exciting and interesting to play; its simple and engaging game format takes care of those factors.

As good as this game is, there are a few minor problems that lie within simple spelling errors, duplicate multiple-choice answers in the same question and scoring glitches. The biggest of the three issues are the scoring glitches. From time to time, the app will not credit you with points for correct answers while still rewarding points to your opponents if they answer correctly. My best advice to remedy this problem is to play the game in a strong Wi-Fi zone to avoid this issue.

The app is free to download and fun and addicting to play. The Million Second Quiz app is now available in the Google Play store and can also be played online on NBC.com.
