It is the bottom of the ninth and you are trying to beat the heavy favorites in the game.  Who will prevail?

If you are a big baseball fan and enjoy board games, then Bottom of the 9th from Handelabra Game needs to be downloaded today.

This recent Kickstarter project is not available for both Android and iOS devices. The game is simple. It is the bottom of the ninth and you have 3 outs to see if you can pull out the win.  This is the electronic version of the dice game.

In the game, you will either be the batter or the pitcher depending on what game mode you play.

The Game Options are:

  • Play local (Home Game)
  • Ranked match (Away Game)
  • Casual match (Exhibition Game)
  • Invite a friend (Pick up Game)

As I mentioned, this is a dice game, so you will be rolling the electronic dice to determine the outcome of each pitch.   Basically, the pitcher selects his pitch and then the batter needs to guess which one it will be. If he does, then more options are available to the batter.

Each player also has some unique abilities to assist them when batting or pitching.  The game gives you a very nice tutorial on how things work so I am not going to go into great detail here.

Learning the game took a few minutes; understanding rolling the dice, pitch selection, running, etc. but it was worth the time.  This is fun 2 player game that baseball fans should enjoy.

The game layout and screen works really well on my Android phone. Once you go through the tutorial, everything on the screen will make sense and not seem so busy.  I found that everything you need to know/find in the game is really only one tap away.  The animations are cute and makes it seem like a real baseball game.

Bottom of the Ninth is a different sort of baseball game but still one that can capture your imagination. As you know, I really enjoy digital board games and this one is another great one that I will be adding to my collection.
