“See blinded me with Science” – Thomas Dolby (1982). After playing around with and reading up on the app of today’s review, I immediately thought of that old song.
StayGo – Find out faster from Inevitable Digital LLC is an interesting app for those who want to learn more about themselves and their relationships.
From the developer: “It is the world first app that combines social feedback with scientific methods to evaluate romantic relationships with stunning accuracy. You can finally make informed decision about your love life and decide whether to stay or go.”
That is a lot to wrap your brain around. So lets go over the basics. This is a free app available for Android and iOS users (see the links below). What you need to do is create an account in the app and then fill in your information.
This is definitely an app for those not married and looking for or currently in a relationship. I am currently happily married so I did not use the app as fully intended. 🙂
The app has 3 main sections:
1. You profile which creates your SG Score
2. You can track your relationship with the SG Score
3. You can get feedback from friends and family on your current relationships
Overall the app is easy to use. The layout is clear and it comes with a quick tutorial. When you make an account you can either sign up with email or Facebook.
When you setup an account you will need to add your name, information, and photo. Next you will need to answer some questions about the relationship(s).
From this the app, it will create a SG Score. Once you have a SG Score you can track how relationship(s) are going but you need to fill out a daily questionnaire.
So does the app work? That is a good question. This is an app, from what I can tell, you will need to use over time and is only good as the information you put into it. Just like a budgeting app, you need to be diligent in putting your information in and you will need to have friends using the app too to get feedback. Seems like a neat idea but since I am not dating, I really cannot say anything more. If you are single give it a try.
