One of the things many offices are doing these days is becoming paperless. This is a great idea but hard to implement. I must admit that I print a lot of material out to help me remember and keep track of tasks, emails, etc.
Smart Document Scanner from Softxpert is a great tool for Android users to help get rid of paper and one of the best portable scanner that I have tried. The app is free but you are limited in how many scans you can do and a number of other items. You can purchase a yearly subscription but right now Softxpert is offering a lifetime subscription for only about $5 USD. You can find more details on their website or within the app.
The app is super simple to use and has a very nicely designed interface that makes finding what you need easy. The app allows you to organize your scan into folders and share/save them via email, text, etc, and Google Drive or Dropbox respectively. The is a detailed help section within the app if needed.
The other major aspect of the app is its features. Holy cow, this scanner will allow you to batch scan, has an OCR Scanner (with a ton of languages supported), a number of camera features (brightness, contrast, sharpness, greyscale) to create perfect scans, the ability to crop images and add annotations to them.
