Scurvy Scallywags is part match-3 game, part RPG, part Broadway musical, and entirely fun! Your pirate character appears on a classic-style match-3 game board, along with loot to be plundered, valuable quest items, and enemies who want you dead. When you match three or more tiles the board shifts in the direction you swiped, so you can use strategy to line up your pirate with items you need or avoid monsters stronger than you.
It does have iAPs, but the match-3/RPG gameplay has been carefully tuned so Scurvy Scallywags is great fun even if you don’t spend a single doubloon.

When you first play, you go through a pretty good tutorial to show you the basics. You are pirate in a pirate play and you will travel to different islands to collect your booty. This is where the match 3 comes in. Your character will be on the board and will need to fight your enemies or the bosses as they appear. You fight of course by matching 3.
As you finish a level you earn gold, xp, cargo, and quest items. You will also get skills you can use. If you enjoy match 3 games you will be right at home. The music, graphics, and game play are great. You will be able to build different pirate ships, unlock 16 versse of the Ultimate Sea Shanty and of course different pirate outfits.
