Nostalgia is one word that comes into mind when describing old game applications. All the thoughts converge on that one game that you used to play and how much fun it was. You can now play blackjack at the comfort of your own home with your iPhone, iPad, or android enabled phone application. These applications are reviewed, rated, and even tested in terms of performance, player numbers, and interest rates as set by the player and game variations, among others.

Old Timer Slot

Are you in the search for casino old games? Try out the old timer slot machine application on your phone, laptop, or the real thing in a casino. The game is quite old as many other slot machine games in casinos. However, these come as a full package. It has the ancient fruit symbols termed as three reeled slot machines with five pay lines. If you are lucky enough to arrange similar types of fruits in the same line with the right combination, then you win cash as your prize.

The game even though old, still garners a lot of popularity. This is due to the fact that it is simple to play, and the rules are easy to understand. Furthermore, it is a lucrative way to spend your relaxation period. Many other slot machines work in the same principle. However, if looking for a classic, this is it.

Besides, it has gained an edge through online players who can do what they like and are not limited by the casino house edges online. It can even be found online as an application enticing you to download and play it. To top it all, the game has gained no complications, and the rules are still the same. It requires no strategy, and all you need is proper knowledge in mathematics and a lot of luck on your side.

Dice

Continuously played on the floors of brick casinos, it hasn’t gained a lot of popularity as an application. Today, the variety of dice gaming applications and variations of the same have increased. The game has now made a massive comeback with millions of players playing the different versions of dice games. It has added to the entertainment that is associated with casino games and taken it to a higher level.

Conclusion

Which is the Best Smartphone for Your Use in 2019

2019 has seen great strides in mobile development especially the onset of the 5G phones and the new foldable phone design. In addition, most phone companies have worked on phone styles to deliver not only quality but stylish phones that are more functional and entertaining. Here is definitive research of the best smartphones in 2019 and the reasons why you should consider buying them.

Phone Selection Procedure

There are a number of things that determine how good a phone is. Common areas include the quality of its graphics and screen calibration, the performance of the processor, camera quality and battery life. Other features include the material used for the outside casing. Water and temperature drop resistance and the level of assistance it offers to daily tasks.

Samsung Galaxy S10

This device is a follow up to the popular Galaxy S9 model. It is one of the best mobile devices that have come from Samsung Factories. It features a curved glass back and a screen that fills the entire front. The size of the display is 6.1 inches for the standard model and 6.4 inches for the larger models. They offer Quad HD+ and HDR resolutions support.

Like the Galaxy S9, this device packs a Snapdragon 855 or the Exynos 9820 processor that comes with 128GB of expandable space and a massive 8GB RAM. There are Galaxy s10 versions with 12GB RAM and up to 1TB of storage. The camera is a 12-megapixel camera with telephoto lenses for lossless zoom functionality.

Huawei Mate 20 Pro

Huawei has improved its phones incredibly over the last few years, but the software is still buggy. However, the Huawei Mate 20 Pro makes it to the list for the long list of features available on the small device. The only other phone with such features is its new brand, the P30 Pro.

The phone features a triple system of cameras that pack wide angle, telephoto capabilities and super-wide angle viewing. It also has an impressive Night Mode feature that is supported by AI. Like the Huawei P20 Pro, it has a sharp OLED display with HDR support. The battery is of good quality often lasting for two days without a recharge. The phone uses a wireless charging technology. Both Huawei P20 Pro and the Mate 20 Pro have expandable space choices of 128GB or 256GB and RAM choices between 6 GB and 8 GB. Other common features include an in-display fingerprint scanner and the ability to charge other phones.

iPhone XR

iPhone XR offers you the feature of the iPhone XS but at an affordable price. Despite being released in 2018, it still competes well with the best phones for 2019. Its camera is a 12-megapixel wide-angle lens camera which packs an A12 Bionic processor. The phone has the classic Apple build and comes in various colours.

The device’s battery lasts remarkably long and can be charged wirelessly. Unfortunately, the package does not come with a fast charger, meaning that it can take up to three hours to charge your phone. iPhone XR display is a retina display that is 6.1 inches in size. The display matches well with the XS in terms of the bright colours and generally great graphics.

Owning the Devices

Most of the devices in this review are quite expensive. However, you could wait for prices to come down or consider going for contract phones whose cost of ownership is considerably lower. In fact, some mobile sellers offer some select contract phones with no upfront cost. However, you may have to pay more each month.

You can also sell your old device on Compare My Mobile where you get good deals so that you can buy a newer one. Evaluate the pros and cons of going for contact phones versus buying as well as no upfront cost offers to enjoy some of the best devices on the planet.

What It Takes to Beat the Competition on the Mobile Market Today

While many people love to predict the death of the mobile market on a regular basis, the facts indicate the exact opposite. The market for mobile apps is stronger than ever, and there are good prospects that it’s going to continue growing in the near future. And while its crowded nature can make it difficult to stand out and get your product noticed, it’s certainly not impossible.

It just takes a directed approach. These days, you can’t just rely on having a quality app on its own. The sad truth is that there are probably a dozen more just like yours already available. Or if your idea is truly unique, then better implementations are right around the corner. This means that you need to have a more unique approach to the way you’re handling the development of your apps from start to finish.

Everyone Has Ideas – Execution Is What Matters

It doesn’t matter if you’re working in a large company or a really small one. You’ll likely always have a long bucket list of ideas worth investigating. Of course, you never have the time to go through all of them properly. The important takeaway here is that ideas are not worth much by themselves. Everyone gets ideas. That random guy sitting opposite you on the train may be thinking of an app idea as he’s eating his sandwich.

What separates successful companies from the rest is their ability to actually implement the ideas they have. Even more importantly, you should also develop a sense for quality ideas. Not everything that goes through your head will be equally viable in the current market climate.

Marketing Starts at the Drawing Board

Which brings us to the next point. Many beginners in this field consider marketing to exclusively mean “promotion”. But that’s not the case at all – far from it. Marketing is the general idea of ensuring that your product is relevant to the current market, and that it will lead to satisfied customers. Proper marketing isn’t about developing a product and then trying to figure out how to promote it and get people interested in it.

In fact, true marketing should start before you’ve written a single line of code for your app. You need to sit down and critically evaluate each idea to ensure that it has true potential. You must also consider the company’s own resources in those evaluations. Sometimes, you might have the best idea in the world, but a little thinking can lead you to the conclusion that it’s simply not viable to attempt executing it in your specific company. Snapchat seems so simple in retrospect – but once you realize the cost of laying down the server infrastructure to handle its millions of users sharing pictures every minute, things can get messy fast.

Handling Complex Projects with the Right Approach

If your company is at least a moderately sized one, chances are that your projects are more complex than a simple ‘to do’ app, too. And as you’ve probably noticed at some point, this kind of work requires a completely different approach compared to regular software projects. In fact, without proper leadership in the individual stages of the project, you can’t expect things to get far at all.

And if you’re just going through the initial periods of growth that lead up to projects of this caliber, now is the right time to think about improving the level of experience in your organization. If you’re in a position of leadership, you should start with yourself. A masters in operation management can completely change your outlook on handling the specific processes involved in creating your products, and it can allow you to optimize your work on a whole new level. And that’s just one example – there are plenty of opportunities to improve the expertise your organization has for dealing with complex issues like these.

Social Media Presence

If your company has no presence on social media, now is the time to think about that too. Ideally, you’ll want to get something started before you’ve even launched your product. That way, people will already know your name and will have some positive associations with it (hopefully). There are many ways to handle a set of social media accounts, but if you don’t have the right kind of experience for that, you may want to leave it to someone who does.

Otherwise, you’ll probably still gain online recognition at some point, but it won’t be the kind you’re interested in. Seeing a screenshot of one of your own Twitter posts on a website dedicated to mocking corporations is just one example. If you want a more shocking one, look up the Ocean Marketing incident. If you’re not cut out for social media activity, just don’t get involved in it. At all.

Post-Launch Support

You should also have a plan for the period after your app is launched, but before you are working on another one. Many companies wrongly treat this as downtime, when in reality they could potentially be putting a lot of work into improving the product and keeping customers happy. No product launches in a perfect state, but software developers are in a unique position where they can easily fix problems with their work after it’s already in the hands of customers.

Take advantage of that, and don’t ignore issues when they’re brought up by your users. The right approach to customer service and satisfaction can easily make your company stand out. The opposite is true too – users tend to have a memory for companies that have wronged them in the past, and thanks to the internet, that memory can be shared with many others in just a few seconds.

If anyone tells you that success on the mobile market is all about luck these days, you can safely ignore them. The truth is that you’re still largely in control of your own results, but you need to change your approach if you’re still stuck in the old ways of doing things.

Free tools you can use to protect your privacy online

When being advised about preserving one’s privacy online, some people shrug it off by stating that they have nothing to hide, and therefore, nothing to worry about in regards to their digital personal data. While this is a nice thought to think, this notion is also rather naive and short-sighted.

The social value of your personal data is your digital identity – your browsing history, your emails and social media connections. The economic value of your privacy is your purchase preferences, credit history, and any relevant data that can be sold for commercial advertising. The political value of your privacy translates into how you exercise your right to freedom of expression and right to information online, what you share and what you read on social media in response to the global events and political developments, your political affiliations and your voting behaviour. Recent Cambridge Analytica scandal is an example of how the political value of personal data can be used for manipulation of public opinion and election interference, even when data subjects “have nothing to hide”.

Remaining passive about your online privacy is no longer an option. Even if you think that your privacy carries no sensitive political value, it is likely that the economic and social value of your privacy remain vulnerable to harvesting. This is why every conscious internet user needs to deploy personal layered security to protect their privacy online.

Free online privacy tools

1. Free VPN clients offer the same services as paid VPN providers: they tunnel your traffic past your ISP, protect you from man-in-the-middle attacks on shady public WiFi, and encrypt your online traffic. Best free VPN services normally offer a basic package of VPN features, such as encryption, adblocking, kill switch, and sometimes even P2P support. The limitations of free VPN providers can seem restrictive if you want to use VPN to bypass geo-blocking on streaming services (like Netflix) if you need ninja connection speeds, if you want to choose the server location (most free VPNs assign it randomly), or if you need a 24/7 tech support. Free VPN services also often have a monthly data cap. On the other hand, if you install a VPN just to use it occasionally (for example, for securing your network on public WiFi), the limitations may not be such a dealbreaker.

2. Use a password manager and complex passwords for all your online accounts. If your password for all (or most) of your online accounts is “password”, or “123456”, or “qwerty”, we’ve got good news: if a few years ago the popularity of the “password” password was a running joke, now it is not even funny anymore. Understandably, you cannot memorise 50+ login+password combinations for you ample online presence. The good news is, you can memorise just one. Tools like LastPass or KeePass allow you to keep all your login credentials in one place, and access them by logging into the password manager with one set of credentials – the only one you have to keep in your mind. And for the love of reason, do not write these on a sticky note and hang it above your computer.

3. Always conduct an antivirus scan. Much like doing health checks with your GP, scan your device for malware on a regular basis. Antivirus software for personal use can be acquired free of charge and conduct a thorough check for threats on your phone, tablet, computer and portable external storage devices. Viruses is a constantly evolving threat, and this is why it is necessary to install updates for your antivirus software on a regular basis. Although internet cafés are going out of business (at least in Western countries), we sometimes use public computers at the library, airport, in print shops. Much like with public WiFi networks, public computers are a threat, especially if you use a USB drive to copy data from them. Most antivirus programs would scan a USB drive automatically when it is connected to your computer, but it is always advisable to be vigilant after you’ve used your USB on an unprotected public computer.

4. Software updates. Most software updates are not deployed to make the interface look prettier, but to patch up vulnerabilities that may harm your device. Do not ignore the updates or let them pile up. If you do not want updates to interfere with your workflow, leave them running overnight. While updating your most frequently used programs is important, updating your OS is an absolute must.

5. Take control over ads and trackers. Ads are not just annoying. They are extremely creepy when you realise they display product offers according to your recent searches, browsing history or even private online conversations. There are different positions regarding ads: providers like AdBlock, for example, recognise so-called ‘acceptable ads’ that adhere to the standards of unobtrusiveness, appropriate placement, size and distinctiveness. Other adblocking providers make a point of blocking all ads indiscriminately and preventing websites and apps from tracking your online activities.

6. Use privacy-friendly browsers. In your browsing experience, tracking and unencrypted data transfers are just half of your privacy concerns. An average browser collects and transmits information about you, –your “browser fingerprint”. This may include seemingly insignificant metadata like installed add-ons, fonts, configurations. Electronic Frontier Foundation developed a tool called Panopticlick that allows you to estimate how distinctive your browser fingerprint is. More privacy conscious browsers (like Mozilla or Brave) aim to not only protect you from tracking but to reduce your unique browsing identifiers. Tor browser, on the other hand, also comes with pre-installed encryption and privacy add-ons, and allows you to access websites that are blocked or geo-restricted.

In the digital age, the default privacy setting of our digital life shifted from forgetting to remembering and preserving information indefinitely. For those who cannot invest money in online privacy, there are many free ways to invest in knowledge-based practices that will protect your digital personal data.
