This game has been out for quite a while, so I decided to finally give it a try.

So what is Crashlands?

From the developer: “The game blends crafting and adventure with a frictionless sense of exploration, all achieved by removing the concept of INVENTORY and INVENTORY MANAGEMENT from the game. The inventory of Crashlands is infinite and self-managing, meaning players spend the vast majority of their time interacting with the world and not moving things around in menus.

Then there’s the epic story about the galactic trucker who just wants to deliver her packages, but has her wants thwarted by a megalomaniacal alien, Hewgodooko, and ends up getting entangled in a world’s worth of problems. There are multiple alien races on display and 50,000+ words worth of story.

And, lastly there’s the Crossplatforminess – so you can get it on Steam and your iPhone and Android and then sync your save between the devices. And the game isn’t any different between the two, aside from how much of the world you can see.”

I downloaded the game last week, when it was on sale and all I can say is wow. It is a very well done and will give you hours of enjoyment. I have only explored a small part of the map, so I have just scratched the surface. If interested, you can read the game manual here online.

In the game you need to explore and complete quests and hopefully survive this very interesting planet, Woanope. Yes I have died a few times already. You will need to create weapons, armor, etc and the only way you do that is to explore and discover.

The game is meant to be played over time. I am still getting the hang of the inventory system, quests, and crafting.

The game has gotten a ton of great reviews so I am not going to repeat it all here. My post is here to simply to tell you this game is worth purchasing and playing.

Regarding cross platform – yes you can do this, but you will need to purhcase the app on each platform you want to play on.

So if you are looking for an adventure, Crashlands is what you want.
