Little Maia and the Lunar Express is a side-scrolling adventure where players join Little Maia aboard a magical space train as they evade enemy rockets, alien ships, and a massive space monster. It features artwork and characters from the Little Maia book series, as well as a boss battle where the player must evade fireballs from a galactic octopus. While the gameplay is reminiscent of Flappy Bird and Jetpack Joyride, the boss battle and option to brake by tapping the left side of the screen sets it apart from being just a clone of those games.
