The folks over at Shenandoah Studio recently sent me a note letting me know that Desert Fox is getting closer to being released.

“With Desert Fox, we have been hard at work making the game even more accessible for both casual and veteran players. We are not sacrificing any of our strategy gameplay, just adding a batch of new features.” says Brad Cummings, Marketing Director

Some of the key highlights:

  • There are 4 guided tutorial scenarios. You can jump in at any point to learn by playing.
  • The campaign mode has a unique UI that guides you through each decision, giving you the info you need when you need it.
  • New drop-down banners let you know when you have a special action to carry out such as supply allocation, airstrikes, reinforcements, and more.
  • They have added some key info to the game screen. This includes a victory tracker, a turn tracker, and better hints before you hit the commit button.

Definitely sounds like a neat game. Once I get more information, I will pass it on.
