I recently tried Catch.com-they were pretty good but I just got word that they are closing down so the search continues. I recently was told about Todoist and I must tell you, it is a very good service. Todoist is a way to create to do lists and keep track of them on your Android, iPhone, iPad, or computer. I am always on the lookout for an app or service to help me with my work. I recently tried Catch.com-they were pretty good but I just got word that they are closing down so the search continues. I recently was told about Todoist and I must tell you, it is a very good service.

Todoist is a way to create to do lists and keep track of them on your Android, iPhone, iPad, or computer. The service allows you to sync across all platforms and its minimalist design and straightforward approach to task lists makes it a very useful and easy to use app/service.

The main service is free, as is the app and you will need to create an account to help sync between all platforms.  The premium service (which I use and reviewed) gives you a lot of great options. You can create as many projects as you like. Within in project, you can create tasks and sub-tasks. You can also create labels, which you can use to help search and sort your tasks.

With the pro version, you can also color code your projects and you can get notifications. The yearly fee is very competitive compared to similar services.

Todoist has a couple of features I really like and use all of the time. The first is the system creates a custom email for each project, so you can add emails and files to each project or have the email become the project itself.  Second the app allows you to easily add website URLs  as a project or to an existing project.  I use the second item to save links to article to read later, somewhat like Evernote.  The service has browser plugins too which allow you to save URLs.

At first I was not too excited about the app, but as I continued to use and discover all it has to offer, I changed my mind. The app does every a task management app / service should do and does it very well.  Being able use it on all platforms is key for me and the flexibility of creating and editing projects works great.

I reached out to the app developer to learn a bit more about the app and service and you can see that post tomorrow.  Until then, give Todoist a try for your task management.
