This Friday, November 25th 2011, is considered by many the biggest shopping day of the year–Black Friday 2011.

So are you shopping on Black Friday this year?  How do you do it? I have not been a big Black Friday shopper in the past.   Standing in lines, getting up early, the crowds and traffic do not excite me. This year I might do it though, since there are a lot of cool Android related specials.

If you Google “Black Friday deals” you will find a ton of sites out there that pull together the ads for you. I am not going to do that. I will list Best Buy since they seem to have a lot of Android related specials.  Amazon also is selling smartphones and I also noticed that HHgregg has some tablets on sale also.  I found this article for those looking for  a tablet: Looking for a tablet on Black Friday? Here’s the complete list of deals.

Overall though, there does not seem to be as many Android tablet on sale as you might think. Why? Some think it is because of the new Amazon Kindle. Found this article over at Forbes.com Black Friday -Tablet Doomsday For Many Phone Vendors

Have you tried any of the Black Friday apps out there? If you search the Android Market, you will find a large number of apps that you can use to find Black Friday sales and deals.  You can also check out this article over at CNET Black Friday deal-hunting apps for Android. The author gives us a nice list of apps to try. The app that I like right now is TGI Black Friday. If you decide to use an app for shopping this Friday, make sure you get one that does maps, comparison shopping, and has links to the store ads.

Well I need to run, so I get prepare for my Black Friday shopping. I want to wish you all luck in your purchases. Let me know what Android apps, games, tablets, or phones you pick up.

We at Droid Review Central are preparing some special contests for you guys in the next week or so! Happy holiday!
